Welcome to our classroom science blog!

One of my favorite thoughts about science is that science is a
"Belief of things unseen".
So many things are happening at once in the world and in our busy lives we rarely have the time to look at the world around us. There may be a butterfly coming out of its cacoon on your front porch, or a flock of birds flying over you going south for the winter. These examples are all related to to science. It is our goal as a class this year to discover the "science elements" around us and eventually understand and belive in things that are usually unseen.

This week I would like each of you to comment on the questions given on the designated day of the week. I am looking for honest and creative responces, there is no right or wrong answer. We will discuss your scientific responces in class next week. Have fun! I'm excited to see your responces.

The Nature of Science Day 1 (Monday)

What is your definition of science?

The Nature of Science Day 2 (Tuesday)

What does the "Belief of things unseen" mean to you?

The Nature of Science Day 3 (Wednesday)

What do you like best about science?

The Nature of Science Day 4 (Thursday)

Go on an adventure outside (close to your house). What types of things do you see that relate to science?

The Nature of Science Day 5 (Friday)

What have you learned about science this week? What is the most interesting thing you have learned or discovered?

The Nature of Science Days 6&7 (Saturday&Sunday)

Over the weekend, ask your parents and/or friends about their ideas of science. Teach them something new about science (something you learned this week or something you don't think they already know).

Be ready to tell us about your discoveries next week!
